2010 Keynote speaker, Sally Helgesen |
On Friday, September 17, 2010 Women 4 Women is hosting our Annual Luncheon at the Grand Ballroom, Galt House East. The keynote address will be given by Sally Helgesen, an internationally acclaimed author, speaker on womens leadership, and consultant on leadership development.
Sallys best-selling book The Female Advantage: Women's Ways of Leadership, was the first book to focus on what women have to contribute to organizations rather than how they need to change and adapt. Hailed as the classic work on the subject, it has been continually in print for 20 years, translated into 13 languages and is used in organizations and colleges around the world. Sally has taught at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Smith College, been a visiting scholar at Northwestern University, and has worked with The United Nations in Africa and Asia. Articles about her work have been featured in
Fortune, Business Week, and Fast Company and she has appeared on hundreds of television and radio shows. Sallys new book,
The Female Vision: Womens Real Power at Work, co-authored with Julie Johnson, explores the strategic implications of how women see the world. It will be published in June 2010.
We hope youll make plans now to join us on September 17 to hear Sally Helgesen, network with your friends and learn about the exciting work that Women 4 Women is doing in our community to improve the lives of women.

Champions 4 Her Club
The Champion 4 Her Annual Giving Club met on Tuesday, April 20. Past, current and future Champions 4 Her Club members gathered at an appreciation reception and were introduced to Women 4 Womens youngest Champion 4 Her, Sophie Humphrey. At 12 years old, Sophie organized and hosted a softball tournament and gave the proceeds to Women 4 Women as part of her bat mitzvah project. Special thanks to Susan Vogt, Annette Grisanti, and Rodes for Her for hosting the reception.
