Facts & Figures: Our Results, By the Numbers
Connecting women to each other and to resources is a way of business for Women 4 Women. We offer our Connect Session program to outside businesses and organizations to help them make meaningful connections with their female staff/members.
More than 3000 connections have been facilitated through our programs (woman to woman, woman to organization or organization to organization) since documenting our efforts in 2006.
Our new resource guide for women made available on this website through a searchable database will also help facilitate connections. In fall 2007, Women 4 Women announced the Champions 4 Her Walk, Run & Festival with nine other organizations dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. Through this program we will expand our ability to facilitate connections and host our first community-wide Connect Session event at the 2008 Festival.
CONNECTING WOMEN
Goal: Develop a program that connects 5,000 women and girls to each other to share knowledge and support by 2010. The program will also organize and promote existing resources in an easy and useful way.
Vision: Connect women and girls to each other to share knowledge, resources and networks to strengthen our entire community by 2020.
Current Status: Connecting women to each other and to resources is a way of business for Women 4 Women. We implemented Quarterly Connect Sessions and Women 4 Women Updates this year to connect women to our organization and to each other. We have also started taking the program to outside businesses and organizations to help them make meaningful connections with their staff/members. Women 4 Women is also a partner in “100 Wise Women” organized by Leadership Louisville Center, Deloitte & Touche and Today’s Woman.
- 3000+ connections have been facilitated through our programs (woman to woman, woman to organization or organization to organization).
Later this year, our new extensive resource guide to local, state and national services will become a searchable database on our website. In 2008, Women 4 Women will launch an exciting new program (with several community partners) to increase awareness and raise funds for women and girls programming.
